“What Can I Do For You Today?”

As I was watching President Trump announce the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, I was impressed with something she said about her husband.

Every morning for the last 20 years, her husband asks her “what can I do for you today?” She usually says nothing, which I respect, because it would be very easy for her to place her role at home and in the workplace above his. She also said that he does not ask this because he has free time on his hands, as he has a very busy law practice.

What if the rest of us asked our spouses the same question…every single day. For those of us who are not married, what if we asked the Lord the same question every morning? I wonder how lives could be changed after several months of just asking.

Something to think about…
