Monday Through Saturday

Many people attend church on Sunday as their spiritual contribution to God, those who attend, and those in our community.

But what if I told you that God was more concerned about Monday through Saturday?

“Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile” says Billy Sunday.

Billy Sunday was a popular outfielder in the national baseball league during the 1880’s and eventually became one of the most influential American evangelists during the first two decades of the 20th century.

Going to church one day of the week is one thing, but what are you doing with the other six days of the week?

Are you trying to apply what you learned from the pastor’s message and/or the lesson you were taught in your life group?

In addition to that, there are other steps you can take that will ensure you are investing in your relationship with the Lord Jesus every single day of the week.

Some actions include:

Intentionally doing things that will honor the 1st and 2nd Commandment

  • Spending time in God’s Word
  • Praying (not just asking for things, but actually talking to God)
  • Talking with others about God, asking questions, and sharing what you are learning

I can’t help but wonder…if the majority of churchgoers carried out these actions 7 days a week, instead of 1 day a week, what a different world this would be!
